Over that time roosting high in the safety of a fir tree every night has kept him out of the grasps of many a hungry raccoon, bobcat or coyote.  Tame and curious as a housecat we sometimes forget he\u2019s even a bird.<!--more--> This spring I would have to say his feathers are the best we\u2019ve ever seen them. Breeding season is in full swing and without any peahens to court on the property lately Finkle has been strutting his stuff for the oblivious chickens and sometimes even the dogs. And he\u2019s looking a fancy !  Maybe you\u2019ll get a glimpse of him up at the <a title=\"Port Townsend Cabins\" href=\"https:\/\/peninsulasportsman.com\/site\/port-townsend-cabins\/\">cabins<\/a>, as he\u2019s been known to sometimes look for handouts from some of the more gullible clients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Finkle has been a fixture around the property since he arrived some 10 years ago.
