Fishing Port Townsend and Family Adventures
Fishing Port Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula offer plentiful opportunities. This area of the northern Puget Sound is alive with a variety of species that will challenge your skills as an angler. Cold water reef fish such as the delicious and hard fighting Lingcod, Rockfish / Sea Bass and Pacific Halibut are abundant in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and our charters specialize in the exciting sport of light tackle fishing for these species.
Coastal Sea-Run Cutthroat Trout are a unique native fish and along with resident coho/silver salmon provide consistent saltwater and estuary fly-fishing opportunities throughout the year. Admiralty Inlet and nearby Hood Canal is well known for its pristine waters and plentiful shellfish. Enjoy your time on the water exploring our local beaches and tide pools for all sorts of Pacific Northwest marine creatures and gathering fresh, delicious Clams and Oysters for dinner. Do you enjoy eating fresh Dungeness Crab and prawns ? Spend a day setting out crab and shrimp traps and exploring the area for coastal wildlife and spectacular Northwest scenery.
Peninsula Sportsman offers a variety of Port Townsend Fishing, Port Townsend Crabbing and Wildlife Watching / Sightseeing Charters.
2012 Private Charter Rates:
- Port Townsend 1/2 day Charter ( 4-6 hours ): $400 **
- Port Townsend 1/2 day Saltwater Fly Fishing Charter: $400**
- Coastal full day Charter: $650 (all transportation provided to/from Sekiu or La Push)
** Charter rates are listed for 1-2 people. Additional fishermen welcome @ $50. per adult ( kids under 14 fish free ! ) Four (4) adults maximum group size for fishing charters. Two fishermen max. on fly fishing charters.

All tackle provided on fishing and crabbing charters including rain gear if needed. Custom filleting / cleaning and packaging of your catch and cooking of crab is all taken care of aboard the charter so we can send your group with the makings for a fresh and delicious seafood dinner.
